Anooj M. Thakrar
Partner
Anooj M. Thakrar is a partner in the firm's Chicago office. His practice focuses on general and commercial litigation with an emphasis on large loss property subrogation product liability matters. In addition to the insurance industry, Mr. Thakrar has also successfully represented individuals on large catastrophic losses stemming from wildland interface fires.
Mr. Thakrar has a multi-jurisdictional practice and routinely litigates cases throughout the country. He has extensive experience prosecuting cases involving defective products and construction defects which typically result in fire or flood damage to property.
Mr. Thakrar is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the Eastern District of Wisconsin and the District of Minnesota. He earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the State University of New York College at Geneseo in 1999 and his Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School in 2003.
Mr. Thakrar actively serves as a Young Professionals Board member for the Center for Disability and Elder Law. He also volunteers his time as an instructor for the Constitutional Rights Foundation of Chicago and as a Judge for The John Marshall Law School's Dean Fred Herzog Moot Court Competition.
